Literature Text
A little girl
born into a broken world.
A smirk on her face,
death in her eyes,
her facade in place,
but inside she Cries.
Beyond the surface of apathy,
she lies in hopeless agony,
daring you to question her role
Such cruelty came from
a crushed soul.
She walks among the strong
with the world on her shoulders.
Innocence went so wrong
when Hatred made it colder.
And thus the light became
her dreams crushed by a weight she shouldn't bear
When Innocence is interrupted
all that's left is
her malicious
glare.

... one small question ...
You made me smile at a time, that all I did was cry.
You were there for me, even if you didn't know.
And now you're gone – without a word
left me alone…
I'm not mad at you, it was your choice
But still there is one small question,
that keeps constantly playing on my mind
WHY
– why you left without a
GOODBYE.

A Change In Perception
In this head of mine,
I thought that I was smart.
I thought I understood everything,
but my arrogance tore it apart.
I had to learn from those who cared most,
that things are never what they seem.
And though our anxious minds might think dark thoughts;
We are only ever betrayed within our worst dreams.
In fact, it is the opposite,
for it is I who became the traitor.
I could never have known you were reaching for me,
Because I let my fears become my manipulator.
But I promise you now, I will make this right.

Blind and Deaf I Fear...
He walked in a world of utter silence,
where people screamed but did not hear.
They held a void between their bodies,
A void between the mouth and the ear.
They spoke without speaking;
thought without thinking
and as the dark of night drew near
conflict came amongst jubilant cheer!
With smiles, they promoted their weapons of hate,
formed gangs to advance their personal stake.
And where hierophants commanded, the cattle went;
Aggression in words and bullets spent.
And with the bodies came sorrow,
they wept in fear; blame amongst blame
but there was no one to hear...
For they spoke without speaking,
thought without thinking;
and held a void

The thing is
Sometimes kids aren't always kids.
They're Soldiers with tarnished memories,
They're Survivors with nasty scars
Those tiny bodies hold broken pieces
from where they were handled too roughly.
Sometimes children don't always get a childhood
